Renovation of a water / sewer project in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The purpose of the Scope of Work is to provide protection to backup power to the Lime Plant Water Treatment Facility. The Consultant shall provide Professional Design Services to provide 100% construction plans for a permanent diesel generator with a capacity of 1,000 kW, or the adequate size determined by the Consultant that will appropriately support the critical facility. The Lime Plant serves to provide potable water to the City's residents. The scope of work also includes: o Modification of the existing generator concrete slab. o Upgrade of conduit and wire. o Sheet metal work - louver to radiator. o Replacement of stainless-steel thimble through roof. o Replacement of storm rated intake louvers. o Replacement of muffler and insulation. o Replacement of 2,500-gallon diesel fuel tank. o Replacement of existing ASCO auto transfer switch at lime softening plant. o Include any building touchup, such as stucco, paint, etc. The Consultant shall provide the following: o Design and develop 100% construction plans for bidding. o Complete the Consultant's portion of the permit documents and review with City staff. o Respond to RFI's during the permitting process. o Prepare and attend meetings as necessary. o Respond to the Building Department's plan review comments and submit revised plans, if necessary, until Building Department approval of permit. o Review and approve shop drawings and other submittals from awarded contractor. o Perform site visits as needed to check on construction progress, answer RFI's and questions related to the construction documents, assist in resolving any onsite construction issues, communicate with the City and others as needed. o Prepare as-built drawings. o Perform final inspection. o Coordinate system start up, verify system performance, and oversee any trouble shooting, is needed. o Include Operation and Maintenance Manuals. o Approve contractor final payment. o Provide any other services as needed to provide a complete project in accordance with the FEMA HMGP documents. The initial term of the contract(s) is for three hundred and sixty-five (365) days, with no option to renew. The contract(s) may be amended in writing from time to time by mutual consent of the parties. Unless this E-RFP states otherwise, the resulting award of the contract(s) does not guarantee volume or a commitment of funds The City reserves the right to reject any or all responses, to waive any irregularity or informality in a Consultant's response, and to accept or reject any item or combination of items, when to do so would be to the advantage of the City. The City reserves the right to waive mandatory requirements provided that all of the otherwise Responsive proposals failed to meet the mandatory requirements and/or doing so does not otherwise materially affect the procurement of requested commodities and/or services. It is also within the right of the City to reject responses that do not contain all elements and information requested in this E-RFP. A Consultant's response will be rejected if the response contains any defect or irregularity and such defect or irregularity constitutes a Material Deviation from the E-RFP requirements, which determination will be made by the City on a caseby-case basis.
