**As of May 13, 2024, the project was awarded to Apex Mechanical, the apparent low bidder for a total award of $1,303,746.00.** The Work includes, but is not limited to: Phase 1: (Summer of 2024) Replace existing chilled water and heating water piping 2-1/2" and larger with new piping of equivalent size. Perform associated ceiling removal and reinstallation work associated with piping replacement. Phase 2: (Winter of 2024-2025) Replace existing chiller with new scroll chiller. Replace existing chilled water pumps and associated variable frequency drives. Replace existing chiller plant appurtenances, including, but not limited to air separator, expansion tank and chemical filter feeder. Provide new chilled water buffer tank. Provide new mechanical DDC controls for chilled water plant. This Project is estimated to cost $250,000.00 or more and must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond, equal to 5% of the total Base Bid only, excluding taxes. Make checks payable to the Renton School District; furnish bond executed by a licensed bonding agency authorized to do business in the locality of the project. This Project is estimated to cost one million dollars or more. The Owner reserves the right to accept the lowest or any other Bid, the right to reject any or all Bids, and the right to waive any irregularities in any Bid. Withdraw of Bid: No Bid may be withdrawn, except with the express permission of the Owner, after the time set for the opening thereof, unless the award of Contract is delayed for a period exceeding 45 days Deposit: Bidders may obtain complete sets of the Bidding Documents from the issuing office and other locations designated in the Advertisement or Invitation to Bid in the number and for the deposit amount, if any, stated. The deposit (if any) will be refunded to Bidders who submit a bona fide Bid and return the Bidding Documents in good condition within ten (10) days after receipt of Bids. The cost of replacement of any missing or damaged documents will be deducted from the deposit. A Bidder awarded a Contract may retain the Bidding Documents, and its deposit will be refunded.
