Renovation of a residential development in Marion, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Kitchen Cabinet and Exterior Door Replacement Marion, SC Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of South Carolina and per Section 9 of Form 5369 and individual sureties must be listed on US Treasury Circular Number 570 to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond and per HUD-5369 Sections 9 and 10. Five Percent shall be based on the maximum bid price, i.e.: Base Bid plus Unit Prices plus Contingency Allowance plus All Add Alternates. Said deposit shall be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten (10) days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. (Bid Bond not required if bid is less than $100,000.00). A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, OR a 20% cash Escrow OR a 25% Letter of Credit. (NOTE: IF CASH ESCROW OR LETTER OF CREDIT IS USED IT MUST REMAIN IN FORCE UNTIL END OF WARRANTY PERIOD). Performance and Payment Bond not required if Bid is less than $100,000.00. the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the Modernization of Project SC 21-1, SC 21-2, SC 21-4, SC 21-5, AND SC 21-11. Questions that arise from the Site Visits are to be directed to the Architect at bids@stognerarchitecture.com. SC 21-1, SC 21-11 & SC 21-4 Remove existing kitchen cabinets and counter tops at units indicated on plans. Provide new kitchen cabinets, counter tops & wall laminate backsplash at Fifty (50) units indicated on plans. Remove existing kitchen sinks, faucet set, p-trap, supplies and shut off valves. Provide new stainless steel sinks with new faucet set, PVC p-trap, supplies and 1/4 turn shut-off valves. Remove existing range hoods at all apartments to receive new cabinets. Salvage all existing range queen devices. Provide new range hoods and reinstall range queen devices. SC 21-1, SC 21-11 Remove existing storage room doors and frames and provide new metal doors and frames. Provide new hardware. SC 21-1, SC 21-2, SC 21-5, SC 21-11 Remove existing security storm doors and frames and provide new security storm doors and frames. Provide new hardware SC 21-4 - 109 Gregg Avenue Prep existing CMU single family house and paint entire CMU exterior walls. Prep and paint existing shutters. SC 21-1, SC 21-2, SC 21-5, SC 21-11 and SC 21-4 All other work as shown on plans, in the Project Manual and as required by codes and the authority having jurisdiction. Contractors will be able to arrange on-site visits on other days to see the interior and exterior of the apartments; however, the Contractor shall provide a minimum 48-hour notice. Advance notice shall be provided to the Owner, Anne Burroughs, by contacting her at anneburr42@aol.com or (843) 423-5242, Ext. 7 (office). The Owner will unlock designated units so Contractors can have access to the interior. Questions that arise from the Site Visits are to be directed to the Architect at bids@stognerarchitecture.com
