Lap Pool Enclosure at Thesouth Park Community Pool and Complex - The project is for a new air supported pool enclosure over the existing lap pool at the South Park Pool Complex. The air supported structure will provide shelter over the pool and connection to the pool house in order to allow for use of the pool and locker room areas during fall, winter and spring months. The structure includes a weathertight enclosure, interior lighting, interior heating and ventilation. The structure will also have entry and exits as required to allow for access and egress without compromising the integrity of the structure. It is the intent of the Owner to keep the pool cover in place from September through April each year and to remove and store the structure annually (alternate #1). The Base Bid contract is for the fabrication, construction and installation of the enclosure and all related accessories including HVAC units, Generator, Lighting, and Utilities. Lap Pool Air Supported Enclosure Fabrication, Construction, and Installation Inclusive of mechanical unit, generator, lighting, connections to pool building and connection to all related utilities. All Forms in the Bid Package Must Be Completed in Their Entirety, the Bid Must Be Set Forth in Words and Figures and Submitted Together With a Certified or Cashier's Check or Bid Bond in the Usual Form, and the Consent [to Provide the Appropriate Performance and Payments Bonds if the Bidder is Successful] of an Acceptable Surety Company [with an "a" Rating] in the Amount of Ten Per Cent (10%) of the Bid, Not to Exceed $20,000 to the Township of Weehawken. The Successful Bidder is Subject to All Provisions on the NJ Prevailing Wage Act (Laws of NJ , Ch. 150) and Federal Labor Standard Provisions. The Township Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All of the Bids Submitted, and to Waive Minor Irregularities Therein, and to Accept Bids Containing Differences Based Upon Equivalent Models of Different Manufacturers Deemed by the Township in Its Sole Discretion to Be Inconsequential, if the Foregoing Be Deemed by the Township to Be in Its Best Interests to Do So.
