Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Carson, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

There are two steel support structures showing signs of severe corrosion and require rehabilitation. Each steel structure supports a conveyor belt which transports biosolid materials between Centrifuge Building 2 and the Biosolids Storage Building. The conveyors must remain in service at all times during the rehabilitation work. Where required, the rehabilitation consists of new stainless steel connection bolts, stainless steel gusset plates and structural steel members. The work also includes increasing the existing subgrade concrete foundation, application of a polyurethane coating on the steel members and replacing concrete curbs, slabs and asphalt pavement. The work of construction must be completed within 475 WORKING DAYS after the date in the Notice to Proceed. Est. Completion Date: May 19, 2026 Est. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK The work to be performed under the provisions of these Contract Documents consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and tools, the performance of all necessary labor, and the construction complete, including all work appurtenant thereto, for the construction of the AK Warren Water Resource Facility Conveyor Support Structures Rehabilitation Project located at 24501 S. Figueroa St., Carson, California, 90745. The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: excavation; shoring, backfill, disposal of excavation material and/or importation of fill and backfill material; grading; paving; modifications to existing concrete foundations; removal of biosolid material in work areas; demolition of existing embedded column anchor bolts and existing structural steel members; installation of new embedded column anchor bolts, new structural steel members and steel connection bolts; and all other appurtenant work as shown on Drawing No. JO-g-1342 and as specified in these Special Provisions (DOC 6729940) and the Standard Specifications.
