Scope of Work The Warsaw R-IX School District is preparing to replace the roof on the southwestern wing of John Boise Middle School, located at 20363 Lane of Champions, Warsaw, Missouri. These sections amount to approximately 27,010 square feet. This section is depicted in Attachment B to this RFB. Successful bidders shall begin work upon receipt of Notice to proceed, to be issued on May 18, 2024, subject to change at the District's sole discretion. Successful bidders shall complete the work by August 12, 2024. Contractor must meet the following requirements: 1. Contractor must supply a "Payment and Performance Bond" for the contracted dollar amount. 2. Prepare and clean roof surface, including additional tear-off, to prep for installation of advanced membrane roof system. 3. Remove, dispose of, and replace existing blister spots on current roof system. 4. Provide and install Poly-Armor advanced membrane roof system or approve equivalent at 40-mil average application rate. System to be installed over existing fasteners, term bars, and baton strips above roof line. 5. Provide and install Poly-Armor advanced membrane or approve equivalent top coat at 40-mil average application rate. 6. Clean up and dispose of all job-related material/waste. 7. Provide District with a minimum 1-year contractor warranty. 8. Provide District with a minimum 30-year, labor and material warranty. Bidders must submit one (1) copy of their bid. An authorized officer of the company submitting the bid must sign all submissions. All prices and notations must be in ink or typewritten. Mistakes must be crossed out, corrections typed adjacent and must be initialed in ink by person signing the Request for Bids. The District will review bids and make a determination and selection of the lowest responsible bidder. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities and irregularities therein. Bid Considerations and Award: The Warsaw R-IX School District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, including those which do not conform to the requirements provided, and to negotiate any particulars in the proposals received. Collusion between applicants is sufficient cause to disqualify all those involved. In determining a Bidder's responsibility and awarding a Contract, the District may take into consideration the Bidder's skill, facilities, capacity, experience, previous work record, and financial standing and the necessity of prompt and efficient completion of work herein described. All Bidders are also required to provide a sworn affidavit affirming participation in a federal work authorization program and stating that the bidder does not knowingly employ any person who is not authorized to work in the U.S., to provide a performance bond, and to comply with all current and applicable Prevailing Wage laws and OSHA requirements, including an approved 10-hour safety course. Inability of any Bidder to meet the requirements mentioned above may be cause for rejection of the Bid. The Warsaw R-IX School District will not award the project to an individual or business having any outstanding amount due from a prior contract or business relationship with the Warsaw R-IX School District or who owes any amount(s) for delinquent taxes, fees, or licenses. The successful Bidder is specifically denied the right of using in any form or medium the name of the Warsaw R-IX School District for public advertising unless express written permission is granted. All interpretations, corrections, or changes of the Bidding Documents will be made by Addendum. Interpretations, corrections, or changes made in any other manner will not be binding and Bidders shall not rely upon them. An electronic version of this RFB is available upon request. The Warsaw R-IX School District shall not guarantee the completeness and accuracy of any information provided on the electronic version. Therefore, respondents are cautioned that the hard copy of this RFB on file in the Warsaw R-IX Superintendent's office governs in the event of a discrepancy between the information on the electronic version and that which is on the hard copy.
