Demolition, site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Estell Manor, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

The Atlantic County Estell Manor Park Salt Shed Reconstruction includes the demolition and reconstruction of its existing salt shed. The scope of the work is to include the following: 1. Demolition of the existing salt shed structure, and the construction of a new concrete masonry and wood-framed salt storage facility. Design of the reconstructed Salt Barn will consist of eight foot high, 12" thick reinforced ivany block retaining walls, with the upper walls and roof constructed of treated lumber. Total square footage of the building shall be approximately 600 square feet. 2. The framed structure shall be post framed constructed. The Post Frame Building Contractor shall be responsible for the complete construction of the post framed building design and construction, which shall include preparation and submission of certified engineered shop drawings and building calculations. 3. Site preparation and restoration. Questions regarding these insurance requirements may be directed to (609)-345- 6700 Ext. 2495. Certificates for approval may be preliminarily submitted via fax to (609)-343- 2164, or to (609)-343-2373. The County will apply liquidated damages of $500 (Five Hundred Dollars) per consecutive calendar day for any contract work that does not comply with the project deadline. Question Deadline 04/21/2024 at 12:00 PM ET All work time is exclusive of Weekend & Holidays. All work to begin within 14 days from Notice to Proceed. This project must be completed within the approved construction schedule. The Project Substantial Completion date is One Hundred and Sixty - One (161) days from Notice to Proceed. The Project Final Completion date is One Hundred and Seventy - Five (175) days from Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages for work not completed within the approved schedule will be in the amount of $500.00 (Five Hundred Dollars) per consecutive calendar day thereafter. Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond must be not less than ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the bid, except that no check or bid bond shall be for more than $20,000.00 and made payable to the Atlantic County Treasurer which the undersigned agrees is to be forfeited as liquidated damages and not a penalty if the Contract is awarded to the undersigned and the undersigned shall fail to execute the Contract for the project or furnish the required bond. Otherwise, said deposit shall be returned to the undersigned. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: A. Extent of selective demolition work is indicated on drawings. The Contractor shall review the Drawings and review the site to evaluate the condition of the structures prior to construction. The Contractor shall further review the site to establish and confirm the amount of construction performed by other trades. B. Types of Selective Demolition Work: Demolition requires the selective removal and subsequent offsite disposal of the following: 1. Portions of building structure indicated on drawings and as required to accommodate new construction. 2. Portions of building structure indicated on drawings and as required to accommodate existing altered construction. 3. Removal of doors and frames indicated "remove". 4. Removal of windows indicated "remove". 5. Removal of existing roofing materials. Coordinate this work with the requirements of Division 7 Specification sections for roofing and reroofing work. 6. Removal and protection of built-in casework indicated "salvage". 7. Removal and protection of existing fixtures and equipment items indicated "salvage". Miscellaneous fixtures and equipment include, but are not limited to, the following: a. Office equipment as directed by the Architect. b. Free-standing cabinetry, storage units and wardrobes. c. Any and all interior or exterior electrical equipment, lighting fixtures, emergency lighting and public address equipment required to be removed to complete the Work of this contract.
