Renovation of a water / sewer project in Georgetown, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The City seeks bids from qualified and experienced general contractors and specialty electrical contractors licensed in the state of South Carolina to perform electrical upgrades at the City's raw water pump station building. Questions regarding this Request for Bid should be submitted in writing and emailed to purchasing@georgetownsc.gov, no later than 2:00 PM EST (local time), Friday, April 19, 2024. A23121 The work consists of complete overhaul of the electrical system including demolition and removal of existing equipment, a new Main Distribution Panel (MDP) , a new generator and new Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), SCADA upgrades, new concrete pads, and minor architectural building retrofits. The project includes the removal and disposal of all existing and abandoned chemical injection equipment, the installation of a new Main Distribution Panel (MDP) for the two (2) City's raw water pumps and the two (2) Liberty Steel pumps, new Variable Frequency Drive (VFDs) for each pump, and the installation of a new generator and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) capable of operating two (2) pumps during an electrical outage. Some minor architectural repairs and mechanical upgrades are needed such as concrete pads for the new electric equipment, new door, frames and hardware, wall painting, caulking, concrete floor coating, and a new HVAC unit.
