Moonshot Amusement Ride Compressor Replacement The Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission DBA U.S. Space & Rocket Center seeks sealed bids for the Moonshot Amusement Ride Air Compressor Replacement The compressor is located inside the Moonshot Compressor Room at the West end of Rocket Park at the Space and Rocket Center. This project scope will include disconnecting and removing the old compressor, installing new compressor, reconnect power, air ducts, and plumbing. 1. Disconnect electrical from old compressor (460 three phase). 2. Disconnect plumbing from old compressor. 3. Disconnect package outlet duct from old unit. 4. Reroute purge plumbing. 5. Remove old compressor unit to outside of compressor building. 6. Relocate electrical disconnect box to block wall and route new conduit for new compressor. 7. Place the new compressor in the location of the current old compressor. 8. Install package outlet ducting. 9. Route and connect air out plumbing. 10. Connect electrical (460 three phase) 11. Secure air supply plumbing that is suspended overhead and off the floor with Unistrut and hardware. Additional required documentation includes Certificate of Insurance, E-Verify Memo of Understanding, AL Contractors License, AL Vendor Disclosure Statement, and Company W9 form.
