Separate written sealed BIDS for a General Contract for the furnishing of all labor and materials for the construction of: EASTGATE SIDEWALK Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State Law and show a Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. Project scope includes, but is not limited to, installation of approximately 800 L.F. of 4" sidewalk, curb & gutter, storm drain, retaining walls, guardrails, traffic signal modifications, striping, and all other associated work required to complete all as shown and specified in the plans and contract documents. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the INTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. The CITY OF BRANDON reserves the right to waive any information or irregularities, to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City, or to reject any or all bids. The Contract Time is Ninety (90) consecutive calendar days with liquidated damages being Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per calendar day thereafter.
