R.s. 37:2150 - 2163 for the Classification of Specialty: Water Well Drilling or Related Classification The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes. Any questions or clarifications shall be submitted to the Project Engineer, Nicholas E. Molaison, in writing a minimum of five (5) days prior to the bid opening date. Molaison, in writing a minimum of five (5) days prior to the bid opening date. A. Project Description: 1. The work includes constructing a complete functioning water well with piping and electrical service and other related work. B. Location: 1. The work is located in Glencoe within St. Mary Parish, Louisiana. C. Contract Documents: 1. Three (3) sets of full size contract drawings and specifications will be furnished to the Contractor without charge. Reference publications will not be furnished. Immediately check furnished drawings and specifications and notify the Engineer of any discrepancies. D. Work Scheduling: 1. Normal duty hours for work are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Request for additional work requires written approval from the Owner seven (7) days in advance of the proposed workperiod. E. Occupancy of Premises: 1. Before work is started, arrange with the Engineer a sequence of procedure, means of access, and space for storage of materials and equipment. F. Existing Work: 1. Remove or alter existing work in such a manner as to prevent injury or damage to any portions of the existing work whichremain. 2. Repair or replace portions of existing work which have been altered during construction operations to match existing or adjoining work, as approved by the Engineer. At the completion of operations, existing work must be in a condition equal to or better than that which existed before new work started G. Location of Underground Utilities: 1. Contact local utility locating service a minimum of 72 hours prior to excavating, to mark utilities, and within sufficient time required if work occurs on a Monday or after a Holiday. Verify existing utility locations indicated on contract drawings, within area ofwork. 2. Verify the elevations of existing piping, utilities, and any type of underground or encased obstruction not indicated, or specified to be removed, that is indicated or discovered in locations to be traversed by piping, ducts, and other work to be conducted or installed. Verify elevations before installing new work closer than nearest manhole or other structure at which an adjustment in grade can be made. H. Salvage Material and Equipment: 1. Items designated by the Engineer to be salvaged shall remain the property of the Owner. Segregate, itemize, deliver and off-load the salvaged property at the Owner designated storage area. Work—The entire construction or the various separately identifiable parts thereof required to be provided under the Contract Documents. Work includes and is the result of performing or providing all labor, services, and documentation necessary to produce such construction, and furnishing, installing, and incorporating all materials and equipment into such construction, all as required by the Contract Documents. With each copy of the Bidding Documents, a Bidder is furnished one separate unbound copy of the Bid Form, and the Bid bond form Official bid documents can be downloaded from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com.
