ARPA Wastewater Lagoon Improvements A bid bond or a certified cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the total bid price is required. Questions related to Project Plans or Contract Specification documents must be submitted to jamie.mcinnis@waggonereng.comno later than 3:00 p.m. on April 25, 2024. The Town of Crawford reserves the right to amend the specifications and contract documents as necessary prior to bid and agrees to notify all having requested bid packets. The Town of Crawford reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities. The Town of Crawford, Mississippi hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, religion or national origin in consideration for an award. The wastewater treatment plant is located within a gated, fenced area south of town, approximately 1mile, on the westside of Seitz Road after crossing Wet Water Creek. The proposed wastewaterlagoon improvementswill correct deficiencies and provide upgrades to the operations to meet the current limits of the NPDES wastewater discharge permit. The improvements include: a. Removal of two existing surface aerators and cabling and appurtenances from the lagoon; b. Installation of four new 5 HP surface aerators in the lagoon with cabling, and electrical installation; c. Removal of two existing blowers, building, associated piping and control panel; d. Installation of two new 5 HP blowers in sound proof housing on existing slab, piping, supports, valves, control panel and other appurtenances; e. Removal of existing piping and submerged aerators from Cells 1 and 2 Concrete Secondary Aeration Concrete Basins; f. Removal of wastewater and solidsfrom Cells 1 and 2,separately, and discharged into the lagoon (solids to be disposed of at the northeast corner of the lagoon); g. Cleaning/pressure washing of Cells 1 and 2 separately to keep the wastewater system on line; h. Repair of concrete cracks on the south end of Cells 1 and 2 Concrete Secondary Aeration Basins; i. Installation of new diffusersystems in Cells 1 and 2 Concrete Secondary Aeration Basins; j. Installation of new fabric around Cells 1 and 2 to prevent wildlife from entering the basins (use existing vertical channels); k. Upgrades to the existing CSI main control panel; l. Removal all existing equipment, controls, piping, and materialsfrom the CL2 and SO2 buildings (except heater), m. Clean the interior and exterior of the disinfection buildings (Patch worn areas around the exteriors of the buildings with a commercial fiberglass epoxy and paint the exteriors with a commercial reflective white paint; n. Replace with new CL2 and SO2 disinfection system equipment, controls, piping, and electrical; o. Install and calibrate two new ultrasonic level sensors and controls, piping and electrical in the chlorine contact chamber and mount one ss metal scale (calibrated in tenths of foot) forthe flow sensor upstream of the existing influent weir; p. Install a new aspirator, including electrical and controls, at the chlorine contact chamber q. Make all necessary adjustments to the existing secondary control panels: controls, conduit, and electrical required to upgrade the WWTP to achieve full functionality of all contract improvements. B. In accordance with the requirements of these Specifications, the Contractor shall furnish and install materials and perform work necessary for or incidental to improve Wastewater Lagoon and appurtenances as described in these documents. C. The Contractor shall warranty all materials provided in the Contract and all workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of acceptance of final work. Should defects or failures occur during the period of warranty, the Contractor shall promptly take whatever steps are necessary to return the work to first class condition The Mayor and Board of Aldermen reserve the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities.
