The New York State Office of General Services Design & Construction Group (OGS) intends to contract with one (1) firm to provide architectural and engineering Services. Firm(s) must possess a strong architectural and plumbing background as assigned tasks will primarily be in this area of expertise, with an occasional requirement of mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural engineering. Projects will involve the rehabilitation of existing Restrooms, Shower Rooms, and Janitorial Facilities. Project Information Firms are expected to provide high quality architectural design services for a variety of buildings and facilities for various OGS locations statewide. Assignments may include the following: Renovations and rehabilitation of existing Restroom and associated facilities, including but not limited to changing layouts to comply with ADA regulations, updating necessary fixtures, energy efficient lighting, exhaust fans, plumbing stacks, stall dividers, and room finishes. Compliance with the latest building code including review of work done by others for compliance with applicable codes. Application of energy efficiency and sustainability in compliance with the Governor's Executive Order 22. A minor requirement of fire protection/fire alarm engineering and structural/civil/site engineering. A percentage of "urgent" projects that require expedited design schedules. Hazardous material investigation and design services for the remediation/removal of such materials as part of the work of this contract. Door Hardware Consultant and design services for door hardware when applicable as part of the work of this contract. Possible construction management and/or construction inspection services as advisor to the owner. Services can be provided by the proposed design team including sub-consultants.
