Primary focus for the repairs is the replacement of damaged, decaying, or missing timber elements, including piles, posts, stringers, braces, and ties. Additional repairs include replacing deficient abutment walls, replacing sloughing approach ballast, and replacing missing or loose bolts and other connection hardware. Several of the bridges are closed to traffic due to their condition. This project, paired with additional track rehabilitation between the bridges, are part of a larger effort to maintain and repair the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad north of Battle Ground in Clark County. Primary bid items: Replace Loose and Missing Spikes and Tie Plates, Place or Replace Shims, Post Piles, Replace Bent Mudsills, Reconstruct Backwalls and Wingwalls, Reconstruct Bent Including Piles, Caps, and Sway Bars.
