Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by Clark County, Washington for:, Railroad Bridge #6 repair project, PRJ0002134; Railroad Bridge #12 repair project, PRJ000049; Railroad Bridge #18 repair project, PRJ0002135; Railroad Bridge #20 repair project, PRJ000048; Railroad Bridge #23 repair project, PRJ0002488; and Railroad Bridge #25 repair project, PRJ0002489 Description of work: This project aims to address deficiencies documented during routine inspections of 6 timber bridges along the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad. Primary focus for the repairs is the replacement of damaged, decaying, or missing timber elements, including piles, posts, stringers, braces, and ties. Additional repairs include replacing deficient abutment walls, replacing sloughing approach ballast, and replacing missing or loose bolts and other connection hardware. Several of the bridges are closed to traffic due to their condition. This project, paired with additional track rehabilitation between the bridges, are part of a larger effort to maintain and repair the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad north of Battle Ground in Clark County. Primary bid items: Replace Loose and Missing Spikes and Tie Plates, Place or Replace Shims, Post Piles, Replace Bent Mudsills, Reconstruct Backwalls and Wingwalls, Reconstruct Bent Including Piles, Caps, and Sway Bars. This project shall be physically completed within *** 90 *** working days. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to obtain Addenda, if any. Such information may be obtained from online (Posted Projects, Public Works, Clark County and Projects Bidding). Clark County accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to bidders who fail to check for addenda and submit inadequate or incomplete bids. Questions and requests for clarification must be submitted electronically. Responses will be posted electronically. Bids submitted by FAX or email will not be accepted. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or proposal bond in an amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish a satisfactory contract bond, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to Clark County. Clark County, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Plan holders shall give notice of their intent to attend the pre-bid meeting to the Engineer by phone 564-397-4946 no later than two business days in advance of the meeting. The successful bidder shall provide executed payment and performance bond(s) for the full contract amount. The bond may be a combined payment and performance bond; or be separate payment and performance bonds. In the case of separate payment and Performance bonds, each shall be for the full contract amount. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the Bidder's company name, project title, project number, bid opening date, and "SEALED BID" clearly marked on the outside of the envelope.
