Description: The SC Department of Public Safety is soliciting services for qualified contractors to provide Weigh Station Scales Maintenance. QUESTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: 04/22/2024 5:00 pm est. Start date: 05/28/2024 End date: 05/27/2029. Dates provided are estimates only. Any resulting contract will begin on the date specified in the notice of award. See clause entitled "Term of Contract - Effective Date/Initial Contract Period". II. Scope of Work Contractor(s) shall provide all labor, materials, specialized equipment, service and transportation necessary to perform the required services under the Preventative Maintenance Scope of Work. The preventive maintenance service excludes maintenance or service as a result of damage due to fire, floods, storm, explosion, burglary, vandalism, war, accident, abuse, strikes, acts of the public enemy, riots, civil commotion or any similar cause. In addition, the preventative service does not include for repairs to, weigh bridges, steel and concrete decks, or concrete foundations. Bidders shall also submit an hourly wage for a technician and a helper. Bidders should include the most recent manufacturer's parts list with a discount from the list price. These rates and the price list will be used to prepare quotes for work that is not covered under the preventative maintenance requirements. These jobs will be identified and priced prior to proceeding with any work. The State will make the sole determination for the use of this option.
