Question Deadline 05/16/2024 at 5:00 PM ET The purpose of these specifications is for the completion of a painting contract for a part of the gynamsium ceiling. This work will be performed at the main Middlesex College campus in Edison, New Jersey, at the Physical Education Center (PEC) building. Particular attention is to paid to those laws, ordinances, and regulations relating to labor, rates of wage, construction methods, and all other matters that can, in any way, affect the work or cost thereof under these contract documents. It is the contractor's responsibility to properly estimate the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the work. Any failure on the part to acquaint themselves with all the available information concerning these conditions will not relieve the bidder from that responsibility. Provide itemized labour and material cost associated with the Change Order. Labour costs will be paid at the then current NJ Prevailing Wage Rate for the trade employed. The Owner reserves the right to select any combination of bids or to award the contract in part or whole and to waive any informalities in or to reject any and all bids in accordance with applicable law. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance/Payment bond in the full amount of the contract price indemnifying the Owner from any and all proceedings, suites or actions of any kind, name or description and conditional for the faithful performance of the work and as security for the payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing materials in connection with the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any proposal that does not comply with the Notice and Instructions to Bidders.
