***** This is a REQUEST FOR INTEREST ONLY! This request does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this request is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes only. ***** Request for Information (RFI) Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS), which manages and operates portions of the Savannah River Site (SRS) under a Department of Energy (DOE) prime contract, solicits expressions of interest from potential suppliers who have a strong background in producing and/or supplying OSHA approved fall restraint and fall arrest systems for use in replacement roofing construction activities. Note: These buildings are industrial/commercial type flat or low pitch roofs including double-wide office trailers. The roofs are EDPM type or being replaced and repaired. We are seeking information and demonstrations on systems whereby the workers are tethered in some manner. This RFI is issued to assist with finding potential suppliers interested in this solicitation. The SRS is located approximately 15 miles south of Aiken, South Carolina and is 310 contiguous square miles. Scope Summary Potential suppliers / manufacturers are to assemble physical components and demonstrate use of to be viewed by SRNS and other Site tenant safety engineers, systems engineers, subject matter experts for roofing activities, and management staff. These systems and components are to be demonstrated on flat ground as to their effectiveness to prevent falls and restraining movement of personnel from the roof edges through the features and benefits of said devices and systems. Suppliers should have the ability to perform a "show and tell" with an actor and to be prepared to answer questions concerning their products. The demonstration location shall be contained to a location within the Central Savannah River Area with the major cities being Aiken SC and Augusta Ga. The SRS delegation will travel to the designated location on an agreed date and time. A written outline proposal of the demonstration is a deliverable item. A supplier's response to the RFI does not guarantee they will be selected to participate in the demos. Suppliers responding to this RFI shall include evidence of the following: Industry acceptance of the product(s) OSHA compliant systems and components Ease of use and assemblage Availability Technical specifications Manufacturing quality process and program E-mail response addressing Items 1 through 6 above (in pdf format attachments) shall be submitted by 5:00 p.m. est. on 4/18/24 to Barbara McCarty at barbara.mccarty@srs.gov. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
