SR 54 @Huddleston Intersection Improvements Improve intersection functionality by installing dual left turn lanes from Huddleston onto SR 54, while removing the cross street through movement. Work will include changing out signal heads, signs, and pavement markings as well as some median reconstruction. The City of Peachtree City will be receiving separate sealed Bids for all material, labor and equipment for the "SR 54 @ Huddleston Intersection Improvements". This includes the following, with all related accessories as shown on the Construction Drawings and called for in the Contract Documents and Technical Specifications: Improve intersection functionality by installing dual left turn lanes from Huddleston onto SR 54, while removing the cross street through movement. Work will include changing out signal heads, signs, and pavement markings as well as some median reconstruction. This contract is SPLOST and FCDA Grant funded. Each Bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount of 5%, and shall be subject to the conditions provided in Section 00 21 13 "Instruction to Bidders." The project shall be Substantially Complete within 180 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed of the contract. Liquidated Damages shall be assessed in the amount of $200 per day for each calendar day required to achieve Substantial Completion. The project shall be Final Complete within 30 calendar days beyond Substantial Completion. Liquidated Damages shall be assessed in the amount of $200 per day for each calendar day required to achieve Final Completion. The City of Peachtree City provides assurances to Bidder that all anticipated Federal, State, and Local Permits along with anticipated Rights of Way and Easements have been obtained or will be obtained by City has requested. The City of Peachtree City will not accept pre-bid project questions within a period of 120 hours prior to the advertised time for opening bids, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and Peachtree City Legal Holidays. The City of Peachtree City will not issue or cause to be issued any addenda modifying the Project Manual or Construction Drawings within a period of 72 hours prior to the advertised time for opening bids, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and Peachtree City Legal Holidays. Agreement will require a Payment Bond in the amount of 110%, and a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the project cost. The City of Peachtree City reserves the right to bid a project in phases and award the contract on the phases it deems to be in the City's best interest.
