The City of Bakersfield is soliciting bids from qualified and reputable contractors having a proven record of experience for the Modular Building for Solid Waste Division at the Corporation Yard as described herein. Contractor shall be responsible for providing all materials, labor, equipment, permits and services necessary to fulfill the requirements of this Invitation to Bid. Your bid may include subcontractors and you must clearly delineate the responsibilities of each of those participants within your bid. However, the City will recognize the party legally signing the Bid Proposal as Prime Contractor and contracting party, who, as such will assume ultimate responsibility for ensuring compliance with the specifications, terms and conditions of the Invitation to Bid. Estimated Bid Value $290,000 Project Description: Project consists of the interior renovation of existing Men's and Women's restrooms, shower rooms and steam rooms. Work also includes minor updates to the Men's and Women's locker rooms. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). Project Identification: Renaissance Athletic Club - Restroom, Shower Room & Steam Room Renovations. 1. Project Location: 501 Graham Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Construction Begins: Construction is anticipated to begin the first week of June 2024. Work can begin as soon as the SPGA at Harbor Shores is finished (May 23-26, 2024) because of traffic logistics. Construction Complete before Labor Day, Monday September 2, 2024. The OWNER shall have the right to take such steps as is deemed necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work and the bidder shall furnish the OWNER all such information and data for this purpose as the OWNER may request. The right is reserved to reject any bid where an investigation of the evidence or information submitted by such bidder does not satisfy the OWNER that the bidder is qualified to carry out properly the terms of the Contract Documents.
