Site work and paving for a road / highway in Boise, Idaho. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Bids will be received for a single contract on a unit price basis. The project consists of performing Cement Recycled Asphalt Base Stabilization (CRABS) and then paving with 4.0 inches of new Hot Mix Asphalt on Hagerman Highway from Ritchie Road eastward to the district line. This includes performing CRABS the full 26-ft width as well as improving the Hagerman Hwy/Ritchie Road intersection. Additional project elements include residential and farm approaches, pavement markings, protecting existing signs and mailboxes, and traffic control. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier s Check, or Bid Bond payable to Hagerman Highway District in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful Bidder shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder as evidenced by a certificate of insurance. Idaho requirements for public works contracting will apply. Prevailing wage rates are not required. Award of the contract will be contingent upon compliance with Idaho public works contracting requirements, bid requirements, and available project funding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids as set forth above. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed forty five (45) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the Owner. Description This item will compensate the Contractor for minor traffic control work and material not specified in the project documents that is necessary to maintain the traffic control as directed by the Engineer. Work - The entire construction or the various separately identifiable parts thereof required to be provided under the Contract Documents. Work includes and is the result of performing or providing all labor, services, and documentation necessary to produce such construction; furnishing, installing, and incorporating all materials and equipment into such construction; and may include related services such as testing, start-up, and commissioning, all as required by the Contract Documents. Contractor shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work is generally described as follows: Hagerman Highway Rehabilitation When the Bidding Requirements indicate that electronic (digital) copies of the Bidding Documents are available, such documents will be made available to the Bidders as Electronic Documents in the manner specified. 1. Bidding Documents will be provided in PDF (Portable Document Format) (.pdf) It is the intent of the Engineer and Owner that such Electronic Documents are to be exactly representative of the paper copies of the documents. However, because the Owner and Engineer cannot totally control the transmission and receipt of Electronic Documents nor the Contractor's means of reproduction of such documents, the Owner and Engineer cannot and do not guarantee that Electronic Documents and reproductions prepared from those versions are identical in every manner to the paper copies. Owner shall furnish to Contractor 3 printed copies of the Contract Documents (including one fully signed counterpart of the Agreement), and one copy in electronic portable document format (PDF).
