Renovation of a fire / police facility in Salluit, Quebec. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Reference number: 1833106 Deadline for receiving complaints: 2024-04-19 Renovation of an existing building. New roof, with decking and existing structure preserved. Stripping of the walls from the outside to increase insulation and waterproofing. Transformation of the existing mezzanine into a 2nd floor. Addition of an exterior exit staircase. New conference room, kitchenette and bathroom on the 2nd floor. Painting work on various existing elements (frames, concrete slab, etc.) New mechanical systems in plumbing, ventilation and heating. Electrical rationalization of existing building components. New protective bollards, light repairs to the existing slab. The work will be done in two parts to limit service interruptions at the fire station. The use of the premises will be shared between the Contractor and the Employer for the period of Autumn 2024. The least intrusive work will have to be started in 2024, while sharing the space. The fire station will be completely vacated to allow for more intrusive work in the spring of 2025.
