Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the bid price and in the form described in the Information for Bidders. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded after the actual date of the opening there of unless released by the OWNER. A performance and payment bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price will be required in the form described in the Information for Bidders. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any Bid that it may deem to be in the best interests of the District. The Greater Augusta Utility District (The District) putting out to bid a construction project on Stone St & Fairview Ave and Stone St & East Chestnut St in Augusta, ME. Utility work will include the installation of a 12” PE storm main along Stone St and Fairview Ave, and 12” Type “C” underdrain installed cross country to connect the two streets (including new catch basin and drain manhole structures) in Augusta Maine. The work will include the removal of existing combined sewer/storm catch basins and abandonment of existing drainage lines.
