CONTRACT NO. EN-00287-03-02-001 - ASPHALT RESURFACING BETWEEN MILEPOST M 14.86 AND MILEPOST M-27.33 IN FAYETTE AND WASHINGTON COUNTIES This project provides for the asphalt resurfacing of bridge approaches. Work will also include concrete curb, guide rail and barrier replacement, and pavement markings. Work items include, but are not limited to: 6,433 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixture, Wearing Course, Various Mixes 1,731 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixture, Binder Course 53,042 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement Surface, Various Depths 1,887.5 LF 450 475 50 439 LF LF LF LF 23,392 LF Type 31-S Guide Rail Remove and Reset of White Precast Concrete Median Barrier, 50" Height Remove and Reset Existing Single Face Concrete Barrier Concrete Median Barrier, F-Shape, 50" Height, Precast, Structure Mounted Plain Cement Concrete Curb, 4" Height Highly Reflectorized Polyurea Pavement Markings, Various Types and Widths Milepost M-14.86 is located approximately 0.34 miles north of the Northgate Highway Interchange, Exit 15, in Fayette County and Milepost M-27.33 is located approximately 0.85 miles south of the West Brownsville Interchange, Exit 28, in Washington County, Pennsylvania. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
