Jefferson Elementary School Renovations and Expansion DESCRIPTION OF WORK This project consists of; demolitions to the existing building and site elements, new earthwork, new concrete foundations and site elements, new load bearing concrete block construction, structural steel framing, masonry work, new interior CMU, metal framing and drywall with plaster skim coat, new doors and frames, hardware, new aluminum, and hybrid FRP windows and doors, new plumbing and plumbing fixtures. Other scope includes new electrical and special systems wiring, fixtures and devices, new HVAC units, ductwork, and air devices, new toilet partitions, and new cabinetry, new gypsum board and acoustical tile ceiling systems, new finishes including epoxy flooring and luxury vinyl tile and resilient accessories. The work of this contract also consists of the coordination with Hazardous Materials Abatement and Kitchen Equipment contract and work of others on behalf of the Owner. Furthermore, successful bidders shall observe the "Illinois Human Rights Act, as Amended", 775 ILCS 5/1-101et.
