The Project consists of drilling and constructing a new groundwater source approximately two hundred (200) feet deep, with alternate bid options for (A) installing Stainless steel well pump, (B) providing variable-frequency drive (VFD), (C) installing a Column pipe, (D) providing a pressure transducer within sounding tubes, and (E) providing a pit-less unit. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. The Project has an expected duration of 180 days. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Document Notes : Electronic copies of the bid documents will be provided free of charge if bidders contact the Project Engineer listed above. Cost of Bidding Documents and shipping is non-refundable. Upon the Issuing Offices receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidders delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. It is recommended that Bidders Register in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the Self-Registered Bidders List. Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Access to project documents is intended for use by bidders (general contractors/ prime bidders, subcontractors and suppliers), agency personnel and agency's consultants, as well as for personal, non-commercial, use by the public.
