As of July 3, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline or award has not yet been established. Bids will be received for the following Work (not limited to): a) Sitework b) General Building Construction c) Plumbing d) HVAC e) Electrical f) PEMB erection (Materials Package is provided by Owner / Separate contract) A certified check or bank draft, payable to Dyer County Government, TN, U.S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond, bonds or insurance surety. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum as security for the payment of all persons performing labor on the project under this contract and furnishing materials in connection with this contract. All work shall commence on or after the date referenced on the Notice To Proceed, and be Substantially Complete within: 270 Calendar Days from Notice To Proceed. Notice To Proceed is expected approx.. 60 days following Bid Opening. There are no restrictions on work hours. Liquidated Damages: As actual damages for any delay in completion are impossible of determination, the Contractor and his sureties shall be liable for and shall pay Owner the sum of $1,000.00 fixed, agreed, and liquidated damages for each calendar day exceeding the time indicated above, until the work is Substantially Complete. Liquidated Damages shall not apply, where timely acquisition of materials and/or circumstances are beyond control of the Contractor.
