Renovation of a mixed-use development in Alma, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This request for proposal is for the installation of door contacts and piezo buzzer stations placed on all exterior doors in the district in order to alert staff to propped doors in order to improve the safety of all students and staff throughout Alma Public Schools. Part totals are listed below. Prints will be provided to all vendors that fill out and return the intent to bid form. Programming of the S2 system will be completed by Alma Public Schools. Any questions or clarifications can be directed to: Name Phone Email Brent Clark (989) 466-7544 bclark@almaschools.net Uniform Proposal Requirements The following pages represent the uniform requirements that must be met in order to submit bids/quotes to Alma Public Schools District Wide S2 Access Control System Expansion RFP. Alma Public Schools will receive proposals from qualified contractors for the cabling and installation of door contacts and piezo buzzer stations. Qualified bidders will be certified in the installation of the products listed in the RFP. APS will retain the right and has complete discretion to qualify or disqualify all bidders on the basis of available information concerning the bidder's qualifications and ability to provide the product, installation, maintenance and service. Clarifications and Corrections - Please direct any questions regarding this RFP to Brent Clark at bclark@almaschools.net BID EVALUATIONS- Considerations for awarding contracts will include price, service, and maintenance of products and/or services, adherence to specifications, past performance to the District, vendor/contractor reliability, warranties and familiarity with the projects and the facilities of the District. APS will evaluate the merits of all Bids submitted and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids. Award of bid is expected at the May 13, 2024 Board meeting. The successful bidder can start the project June 7, 2024 but the project must be completed by August 9, 2024. SCOPE OF WORK 2.00 Selected vendor will provide all equipment listed below. All equipment listed below will be wired and installed by the vendor. All cabling will be installed and secured above drop ceiling where applicable. Programming will be completed by owner. Equipment totals: 112 - Alarm Controls TS-34 Piezo Buzzer Station 185 - GRI Telemark 180-12-G Recessed Door Contacts 1 - STI Stopper Station SS2221LD-EN 3 - S2-NN-E WM S2 Network Node Wall Mount 22 - S2-INP S2 Input Application Blade 21 - S2-OUTP S2 Output Application Blade 9 - AL175ULX Altronix VDC Power Supply - Large Enclosure 2.01 Coordination Coordinate the location of all equipment. Meet with the owner or their representative on placement of equipment in each location prior to installation. 2.02 Materials The contractor shall provide equipment as required for a complete installation.
