HMA roadway reconstruction and resurfacing with approx. 4,700 tons of HMA binder course, 2,800 tons of HMA surface course, 17,000 sq yd of HMA base course, 43,000 sq yd of agg. base course of various depths, curb and gutter removal & replacement, sidewalk removal & replacement, lighting installation, and misc. items of work. Description of Work: The proposed work consists of reconstructing or partially resurfacing the roadway with new HMA pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, lighting installation, storm sewer improvements, and other miscellaneous items of work. Roadway reconstruction and resurfacing include 4,700 tons of HMA binder course, 2,800 tons of HMA surface course, 17,000 sq yd of HMA base course, 43,000 sq yd of aggregate base course of various depths, 9,500 feet of curb and gutter removal and replacement, 63,000 sq ft of sidewalk removal, and 98,300 sq ft of PCC sidewalk of various depths. Lighting installation consists of 120 lighting units, fixtures, and associated conduit. Storm sewer installation includes 900 feet of storm sewer pipe of various sizes and structures to be adjusted/constructed, along with 10,500 sq yd of parkway restoration (sodding), and other incidental and miscellaneous items of work. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Plainfield for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference. The Village of Plainfield reserves the right to reject the bid of any non- responsive, non-responsible bidder, and waive any informality to the benefit of the Village of Plainfield. Any bidder may withdraw his bid prior to the opening of the bids. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the bids without the consent of the Village of Plainfield for a period of forty-five (45) days after the scheduled time of bid opening
