Site work for a water / sewer project in Wenatchee, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

** As of May 23, 2024 this project has been awarded to J & K Earthworks with an amount of 3,648,662.53.** It is anticipated that that this project will be funded in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its departments or employees are, or shall be, a party to any contract or any subcontract resulting from this solicitation for bids. This project goal is to improve the water quality of the Columbia River by providing treatment for the Ninth Street Basin and rerouting the City's stormwater flows away from the No. 2 Canyon Drain. In addition to treatment, this will maintain the current capacity and availability for future development of the Ninth Street Basin and address problems with sediment build-up in the No.2 Canyon Drain. The project involves a new stormwater conveyance system through Morris Street, Ringold Street, Seventh Street, and Princeton Avenue before reconnecting to the existing storm system within Ninth Street. Stormwater flows from Ninth Street and the Wenatchee Valley College will be detained by an R-Tank subsurface detention modular system and then treated with StormFilter media cartridges. The existing open channel of No. 2 Canyon Drain will be rerouted through a piped system via Ringold Street and Seventh Street. Time for Completion of the Work is limited to 95 working days. Contract time shall begin on the first working day following the Notice to Proceed Date. The Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be given by the City mid-June, 2024. The completion date shall be no later than October 31st, 2024. The order of magnitude of the project cost is approximately $4.0 Million ($4,000,000). The City of Wenatchee is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer. Small, Minority-and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or Surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount of the Bid Proposal. Checks shall be made payable to The City of Wenatchee. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into such Contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the Specifications, the Bid Proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Wenatchee. The City of Wenatchee reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive irregularities in the Bid or in the Bidding. CITY#: PN2101, JOB#/DWG: 30-230023
