The City of Asheville is requesting qualifications from Design-Build teams to design and construct the renovations to approximately 14,500 sf of leased commercial office space. The design-build team will coordinate with the City of Asheville (Owner) and the Property Management team/representative to ensure the well-planned execution of the project. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to Design meetings and site visits with the Owner for scope planning. Preparing architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans and specifications. Project permitting. Construction, construction administration, project closeout, establishment of warranties and guarantees. Projected Contract Award Tuesday, May 28, 2024 City of Asheville Design-Build Upfit Rebid Description of Work: The City of Asheville is requesting qualifications from qualified design-build teams to design and construct interior renovations for a lease space upfit project. The City will be leasing approximately 15,000 square feet of space that will serve as administrative offices for the Asheville Fire Department and a temporary fitness center for the Fire and Police Departments. Work will include, but is not limited to: select demo of interior partitions, new construction of interior partitions, construction of a men's and women's restroom and showers, concrete floorrefinishing, patching and painting. The budget for the design-build contract, including all costs and fees, is $530,000.
