This work includes, but is not limited to, fiber infrastructure, underground conduits, signing and pavement markings, and minor concrete work. The intent of this contract is to provide means for the DEPARTMENT to quickly respond to safety and operational issues for a period of two (2) years or until the contracted amount has been reached. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the work plan, specifications, procedures, and terms of the Contract. All work in this Contract is considered specialty work. The number of work documents for the contract will be limited by a budgetary cap of $2,000,000. All work documents will include mobilization compensation that will account for 10% of the final work document costs. Refer to the Mobilization section of the specifications package for more details. The bid quantities are estimated based on potential work documents. Refer to the Additional Information document for more details. The summary of pay items for this project is listed in the Bid Price Proposal. The quantities shown on the Bid Price Proposal are approximate and only represent estimated planned requirements based on historical or specific project needs. The Department does not guarantee any maximum or minimum quantity, any range of quantities, or the exact quantities shown for each bid item. The Departments estimated quantities and the Contractors bid price will be used to calculate a total bid amount. This total bid amount will then be used to determine the low bidder; however, actual payment under the awarded contract will be based on actual quantities completed. For this Contract in which specific sites are not identified at the time of letting, the Engineer will issue a Work Document. Work Documents will identify the location, description, amount of work to be accomplished, and the number of calendar days to complete the work. Prequalification Required.
