Renovation of a municipal facility in Portland, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Work Comprises Removing Existing Roofing Materials and Installing a New Asphalt Roofing System at the Cumberland County Law Enforcement Center at 36 County Way, Portland, ME . The Cumberland County Commissioners Reserve the Right to Accept or Reject Any and All Bids and, at Their Discretion, to Waive All Formalities. The project scope includes the removal of existing Ashalt shingles, ridge and hip cap shingles, metal flashings drip and rake edge metals, and soffit assemblies. - Replacement with edge/rake drip metals, underlayment, architectural asphalt shingles, continuous ridge ventilation, attic draft partition assembly, soffit ventilation assembly and soffit-to-attic cavity air circulation modifications. - Install new laminated strip "LANDMARK Pro" Asphalt shingles or comparable (GAF -Materials Corporation/Owens Corning). -Install new self-adhering sheet underlayment (high temperature). Allowed comparable (Carlisle Residential, GAF Materials Corporation, Henry Company) Minimum requirements of 40-mil-thick, tested thermally at 240F as well as low temp flexibility tested and passed at -20F (ASTM D 1970/D 19670M. - Install new Zinc-tin alloy coated stainless steel flashing. All fasteners in the flashing must match flashing color. - Install new rigid ridge vent. Allowed comparable (Air Vent Inc., Cor-A-Vent, GAF Corporation, Owens Corning). -All other accessories needed to successfully install the roofing system, fasteners, adhesive, etc.
