The right is reserved to reject any bid where an investigation of the available evidence or information does not satisfy the Owner that the Bidder is qualified to carry out properly the terms of the Contract. The quantities appearing in the proposal are approximate only and are prepared for the comparison of bids. Payment to the Contractor will be made only for the actual quantities of Work performed and accepted or materials furnished and accepted in accordance with the Contract except for lump sum contracts and except for lump sum items in unit price contracts. The scheduled quantities of Work to be done and materials to be furnished may be increased, decreased, or omitted as hereinafter provided. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Kentucky to provide said surety.
