Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for site work for a multi-residential development; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project spans two City properties. There are four distinct project areas within John McLaren Park and one at Twin Peaks Open Space. Work is per the respective trail logs, trail segment maps, construction details, and direction in the field by the City Representative. The project involves trail construction (native soil, reinforced native soil, Park Tread, Box Steps, and stringer steps), grading, drainage, erosion control, irrigation, landscaping, restoration planting, restoration seeding, split rail fencing, signage, stone masonry, asphalt, concrete, and striping. The Contractor is advised to carefully review the access and schedule requirements for each trail segment, as well as sensitive habitat protection requirements. ESTIMATE: Approximately $2,200,000 Bid discounts may be applied as per Administrative Code Chapter 14B. LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 20%. Refer to Form 2B. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible responsive bidder. CONTRACT DURATION: 450 consecutive calendar days from NTP to Substantial Completion. A corporate surety bond or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the amount bid must accompany each bid. Administrative Code Section 6.22(a) requires all construction greater than $25,000 to include performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract award.
