Renovation of an educational facility in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

In general, work to consist of renovation of the existing Kitchen/Serving Space to generally include masonry and metal stud/gypsum board partition demolition, removal of hard tile and concrete floor, removal of acoustical ceiling, removal of kitchen equipment, demolition of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical required to renovate the space into new kitchen and serving area to include new masonry walls, new resinous and terrazzo floor, new acoustical ceiling, rolling doors, hollow metal door, painting, kitchen equipment, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical connections. The outside of the envelope shall be marked "SEALED BID FOR ALDO LEOPOLD SCHOOL KITCHEN RENOVATION" along with the contractors' name. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud by the Owner in the Administrative Offices, address. Each prime bidding contractor shall be informed in writing as to who was awarded the work. Bids will not be accepted if received after mentioned time. A Single Prime Bid from a General Contractor will be received for all work and will hold all subcontracts and provide a single bond as a single source of construction responsibility. Plans will be available from Architects Group Ltd. Plans sent out online will be free of charge. Hard copies of Plans and Specifications if requested will be billed at printing and shipping costs. The successful General Contractor Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract and to be executed on AIA Form A312 attached to Bid Documents. Bid Form, Bid Bond, and Form of Non-Collusive Affidavit shall be submitted with Bid. Failure to do so may be the cause for rejection of bid. Copies of the above-mentioned forms are in the specification book. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) consecutive calendar days subsequent to the opening of Bids without the consent of the Owner. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total Base Bids, payable to the Green Bay Area Public School District, Green Bay, Wisconsin, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and bonds within 10 days after the award of contract. The District will ultimately award the project to the General Contractor and Subcontractors that provides them with the best combination of experienced team members, local participation, and lowest cost. Bidders are required to visit the site, compare the Drawings and Specifications with any work in place, and inform themselves of all conditions, including other work, if any, being performed. Failure to visit site will in no way relieve the successful bidder from the necessity of furnishing any materials or performing any work that may be required to complete work in accordance with Drawings and Specifications, without additional cost to the Owner. The building is available for inspection. All contractors shall call LuAnne O'Leary at (920)448-2180 to set an appointment before coming to inspect the building. The Prime Contractors shall submit their base bids in accordance with specifications. If specifications do not comply with any codes or utility company requirements having jurisdiction, then Prime Contractors shall notify Architect not later than ten (10) days before bid opening so that an addendum can be issued to all bidders by the Architect. If contractors do not notify Architect or the question occurs within ten (10) days prior to bid opening, the contractor shall include in Bid all work and accessories for work to conform to code. Work in the existing building is anticipated to start June 12, 2024 and all work will be completed by August 15, 2024. The successful bidder must agree to commence work as written in "Notice to Proceed" and to fully complete all work BY August 15, 2024.
