Pavement Resurfacing Infrastructure Improvements, Phase 1 The Engineer's opinion of probable cost for the base bid of this project is $3,510,000.00. The Project includes the following Work: Resurfacing of approximately eight (8) miles of roadway within the City. Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. Pre-Qualification status must be in force at the time of the bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. Bidders are also expected to provide an experience statement indicating their ability to perform the work as required in the contract documents. Bid Guaranty - The bid guaranty may be of two forms: A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of the City of Port Clinton, Ohio, in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. After the award of the contract let by competitive bid and prior to the time the contract is entered into, bidders shall submit the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Ottawa County, Ohio. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
