As of June 5 2024, the project will rebid. No definite date for the rebid. Description: Meadow Brook Bridge Replacement in the Town of Pittston, Maine. Location: In Kennebec County, the project is located on Pinkham Road over Stony Meadow Brook in the Town of Pittston, Maine. Outline of Work: The work to be done under this contract consists of the removal of the existing culvert, the installation of new cast-in-place substructure, steel superstructure & concrete deck, installation of precast modular gravity walls, guardrails, minor roadway and approach work and other incidental work. Questions received after 12:00 noon of Wednesday prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any Town staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Town will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Question Deadline 04/24/2024 at 12:00 PM ET The Work. The Contractor agrees to complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract including Extra Work in conformity with the Contract, PIN No. 01-PinkhamRdBridge-23, for the Meadow Brook Bridge Replacement in the Town of Pittston, Kennebec County, Maine. The Work includes construction, maintenance during construction, warranty as provided in the Contract, and other incidental work. The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all supervision, labor, equipment, tools supplies, permanent materials and temporary materials required to perform the Work including construction quality control including inspection, testing and documentation, all required documentation at the conclusion of the project, warranting its work and performing all other work indicated in the Contract. The Town of Pittston shall have the right to alter the nature and extent of the Work as provided in the Contract; payment to be made as provided in the same. Time. The Contractor agrees to complete all Work, except warranty work, on or before October 15, 2024. Further, the Department may deduct from moneys otherwise due the Contractor, not as a penalty, but as Liquidated Damages in accordance with Sections 107.7 and 107.8 of the State of Maine Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, Revision of March 2020. Schedule of Work Required The Contractor will not be required to provide the Department with its Schedule of Work in a Critical Path Method (CPM) in the form of an activity on node (AON) diagram. The Contractor shall plan the Work, including the activity of Subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, such that all Work will be performed by the completion date indicated in the Contract. The Schedule must include sufficient time for the Department to perform its functions as indicated in this Contract. The Contractor will be required to submit a Schedule of Work in either a Bar Chart or CPM for approval by Calderwood Engineering.
