The Project Generally Consists of the Construction of an Access Easement Within the White Street Parking Lot Located Between White Street and Monmouth Street, Construction of a New Parking Lot and Green Space for Marine Park Located at 1 Marine Park, Red Bank, NJ. Improvements Proposed for the White Street Municipal Parking Lot Scope Include Approximately: 490 Sy of Hma Milling, 3" or Less, 60 Tn Hma 9.5m64 Surface Course, 2" Thick, 1 Un of Reset Inlet, Type "e", Using Existing Casting, 15 Sy of Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick, 50 Sy of Concrete Driveway, Reinforced, 6" Thick, 2 Sy of Detectable Warning Surface, 170 Lf of 8"x18" Concrete Vertical Curb, Traffic Striping and Marking, Signage, Landscaping and Any and All Associated Work. Improvements Proposed for the Marine Park Parking Lot Scope Include Approximately: 400 Sy of Embankment, 10 Cy of Dense Graded Aggregate Base Course, 6" Thick, 70 Cy of Aashto No. 57 Stone, 500 Cy of Aashto No. 2 Stone, 5 Tn of Hot Mix Asphalt Surface Course, 2" Thick, 10 Tn of Hot Mix Asphalt Base Course, 4" Thick, 600 Tn of Porous Asphalt Pavement, 23 Lf of 15" Class V Rcp With Excavation, Bedding, and Backfilling, 1 Un of Inlet Type 'e', 230 Sy of Concrete Sidewalk, 130 Sy of Concrete Driveway, Reinforced, 6" Thick, 2 Sy of Detectable Warning Surface, 1,660 Lf of 8"x18" Concrete Vertical Curb, Traffic Striping and Marking, Signage, Landscaping (Including the Planting of New Trees), Lighting, Security Camera System, Electric Utility Service and Any and All Associated Work. Improvement Proposed for the Marine Park Green Space Scope Include Approximately: 1,440 Sy of Hot Mix Asphalt Milling, 3" or Less, 175 Tn of Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5m64 Surface Course, 2" Thick, 345 Tn of Hot Mix Asphalt 19m64 Surface Course, 4" Thick, 193 Lf of 15" Class V Rcp With Excavation, Bedding, and Backfilling, 2 Un of Inlet, Type 'b', 3 Un of Reconstruct Inlet, Type 'b' and Raise Grade, Using New Casting, 850 Lf of 8"x18" Concrete Vertical Curb, Traffic Striping and Marking, Signage, Landscaping (Including Tree Removal) and Any and All Associated Work. Bid Security: Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check or Cash of Not Less Than Ten (10%) Percent of the Bid, but Not More Than $20,000.00, Payable Without Any Conditional Endorsement as a Guarantee That in Case the Contract is Awarded to the Bidder, He Will Within Ten (10) Days Thereafter Execute Such Contract and Furnish Satisfactory Performance Bonds. Upon Failure to Do So, He Shall Forfeit the Deposit as Liquidated Damages and the Acceptance of the Bid Will Be Contingent Upon the Fulfillment of This Requirement by the Bidder. No Interest Shall Be Allowed Upon Any Such Certified Check or Cash. A Bid Bond in the Amount of Ten (10%) Percent of the Bid, but Not More Than $20,000.00, May Be Substituted for Certified Check or Cash. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Certificate of Experience and Certificate of Equipment. Each Bid Must Also Be Accompanied by a Certificate of Consent of Surety From a Bonding Company Licensed to Do Business in the State of New Jersey Guaranteeing That if the Proposal of the Bidder Be Accepted They Will Furnish the Bond Set Forth in the Instructions to Bidders and the Acceptance of the Bid Will Be Contingent Upon the Fulfillment of This Requirement. A-2 the Borough Reserves the Right to Increase or Decrease Quantities Specified in the Manner Designated in the Specifications. The Borough Reserves the Right to Award This Contract Based on Funds Available. Bidders Are Required to Comply With the Requirements of the Americans With Disabilities Act (N.j.s.a.10:5-31 Et Seq.) and With the Disclosure Provisions of N.j.s.a. 19:44a-20.13. The Successful Bidder Shall Be Required to Comply With the Provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, Effective January 1, 1964. During the Performance of This Contract, the Contractor Agrees to Comply With the Requirements of P.l. 1975, C. 127 (N.j.a.c 17:27), and N.j.s.a 10:5-31 Et Seq., All Requirements of the State of New Jersey Workers Health and Safety Act (N.j.a.c. 12:110 Et Seq.) as Amended and the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (Osha)(29 Cfr 1910), as Amended With Regard to Worker and Jobsite Safety. Bidders Shall Comply With N.j.s.a. 52:32-44 Latest Revision, Regarding Business Registration With the New Jersey Division of Revenue. Bidders Shall Also Comply With the Requirements of Equal Opportunity Employment (N.j.s.a.10:5-31 Et Seq.) and Affirmative Action (N.j.a.c. 17:27) and With the Disclosure Provisions of N.j.s.a. 19:44a-20.13. No Bidder May Withdraw His Bid for a Period of Sixty (60) Days After the Date Set for the Opening Thereof. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Furnish a Surety Company Bond in the Full Amount of the Contract Price Indemnifying the Borough of Red Bank, New Jersey for All Proceedings, Suits or Actions of Any Kind of Description and Conditional for the Faithful Performance of the Work. All Bid Security Will Be Returned to All Bidders Except the Three (3) Apparent Lowest Bidders Within Ten (10) Working Days After the Opening of Bids, and to the Three (3) Apparent Lowest Bidders Within Three (3) Working Days After the Successful Bidder Has Executed the Contract and His Contract Security Has Been Approved by the Owner. The Borough Council of the Borough of Red Bank Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids if in Its Opinion It is in the Best Interest of the Borough to Do So. **Document Notes: Which Allows for the Return of Documents in Reasonable Conditions Within in Ninety (90) Days of Notice That the Contract Has Not Been Awarded.
