Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Project at Burnham Park consists of constructing a 5'-0" wide asphalt trail, stone dust seating areas, site furnishings, drainage improvements, and one (1) pedestrian bridge. The Project at Duerr Park consists of constructing a 5'-0" wide trail consisting of stone dust and shredded bark surfacing, seating areas, site furnishings, and drainage improvements. Bids will be received for Contract No. 1 - General Construction. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security, as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) prescribed in the Bidding Documents. In order to perform public work, the Successful Bidder and Subcontractors prior to contract award shall hold or obtain such license as required by State statutes, and Federal and local Laws and Regulations. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that have been barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b. The Successful Bidder will be held to the requirements of the Town of Salina Apprenticeship Training as outlined in Chapter 40, Article III of the Town Code. In preparation of the Bid, Bidders must certify that a minimum of 10% of the labor hours of the total construction workforce employed shall be performed by a person participating in a qualified apprenticeship training program in the construction trade for which they are registered. Purchase made by Town of Salina are not subject to any Federal, State or local sales tax. Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials. Exemption certificates will be executed upon request. The Owner's right is reserved to reject all Bids or any Bid no conforming to the intent and purpose of the Bidding Documents.
