24-0184 Detroit Public Schools Community District is seeking a contractor that can repair the ramp at the Detroit Children's Museum. Supplier shall provide necessary labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision for the repair of the ramp at the Detroit Children's Museum. SCOPE OF SERVICE The Detroit Children's Museum (DCM) provides field trips (virtual and in person) and outreach experiences for the Title 1 students at the Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD). In addition, the DCM houses a collection of approximately 2 million artifacts, of which approximately 1 million are available for DPSCD teachers to borrow for the purpose of enriching the learning experiences of their children. DCM offers Professional Development opportunities for the educators of the DPSCD. DCM has added DPSCD Family Saturday events. These opportunities have provided DPSCD Families with a variety of family friendly experiences while connecting them with resources to assist in the educational development of their children. DCM is currently not accessible to students as the entrance ramp has major cracks in the structure and is unsafe to use. The District is seeking a contractor/supplier that can repair the ramp, so that visits to the museum by students can resume safely.
