Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement, on behalf of Parks and Recreations and other agencies, invites your company to bid on providing wood chips for trails and landscaping. This contract may be used by other agencies within Salt Lake County. A manufactured fibrous crushed wood product consisting of random sized wood fibers comprised of but not limited to soft woods such as Ponderosa Pine, Douglas fir, and or White Pine and hard woods such as Poplar, Oak, Ash, Hickory and Maple Consistency: Wood fiber will consist of the approximate gradation of 75% are 1"-4" pieces, 25% are 1" or less. Must not contain twig, bark or leaf debris or other material. incorporated within. No Chemical treatments or additives. The material must be non-toxic and must not contain nails, plastic, metal, paint, seeds, or other contaminates. Type of Wood: Fibers must be from new wood. No pallets, plywood, pressured treated, or pressed wood or other dimensions of wood. The County has the right to correct an incorrect invoice before paying. The contract resulting from this solicitation will become effective on the date of execution with a five (5) year term. The County reserves the right to review the contract on a regular basis regarding performance and cost analysis and may negotiate price and service elements during the term of the contract.
