Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in San Anselmo, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The Project consists of all labor, materials equipment and services necessary to repair the existing softball field and grass area currently used as temporary parking lots back to a playable softball field and natural grass area respectively. Work includes the removal of existing gravel on both areas, evaluation and needed repairs to existing irrigation systems in both areas, and installation of new natural sod grass in both areas, including clay infield repairs at the softball field. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations and to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: A, or C27. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. Contractor shall perform the Work at Archie Williams HS, located at 1327 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, San Anselmo, CA 94960 ("Site"). The Project is the scope of Work performed at the Site. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if awarded the contract for the Project. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The successful Bidder shall comply with all requirements of Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1, of the Labor Code and Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. For all work performed pursuant to this Contract, the Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay all workers not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, ("DIR") for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. This Project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening. Completion- June 15, 2024 Scope of Work (Softball Field - Option 1): 1. Using drawing on next page, identify/flag existing irrigation sprinkler heads, controllers and supply lines in outfield area. 2. Remove/scrape existing gravel and fill used to create a temporary parking lot from outfield area; and remove/scrape existing grass from entire outfield area. Contractor to remove, off-haul (off-site) and dispose of all gravel, fill and grass/dirt debris. 3. Evaluate existing irrigation system (marked/flagged in step 1) and make repairs to any damage sprinkler head, line, controller or irrigation box. Providing an allowance for irrigation repairs is acceptable, please clearly label and define the not to exceed amount for this item in your bid. 4. Re-sod entire grass outfield area with new sod rolls. Once installed, program repaired irrigation system to sufficiently water re-sodded outfield area to ensure the grass roots and grows (field will be closed for use during this time). 5. After sod installation, provide periodic site visits to evaluate field watering, health and growth - update District representative with each site visit on grass field progress. 6. Evaluate existing clay infield area and fill in/repair any divots, ruts or other indentations/depressions located in clay area with new matching clay material. 7. Using California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) girls' softball field dimensions, install/validate pitching rubber and homeplate. Ensure the base inserts are present/installed for first, second and third base. If any inserts missing, work with District to determine correct insert and install new. Scope of Work (Devonshire Building Grass Area - Option 2): 1. Using drawing on next page, identify/flag existing irrigation sprinkler heads, controllers and supply lines in grass area. 2. Remove/scrape existing gravel and fill used to create a temporary parking lot from grass area; and remove/scrape existing grass from entire grass area. Contractor to remove, off-haul (off-site) and dispose of all gravel, fill and grass/dirt debris. 3. Evaluate existing irrigation system (marked/flagged in step 1) and make repairs to any damage sprinkler head, line, controller or irrigation box.
