Site work and new construction of a fitness / recreation center in Bessemer, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a fitness / recreation center; and for site work for a fitness / recreation center.
Scope of work will include (but is not limited to): Site improvements and new construction of the new Multi-Use Center. Also submitted with each bid shall be a certified check or bank draft, (made payable to: Bessemer Housing Authority) or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety company in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project, and that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The bidder must comply with Section 3 requirements provided in the Contract Documents. The Bessemer Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Bessemer Housing Authority for a period not to exceed one hundred and twenty (120) days from the date of bids for the purpose of reviewing them and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
