Site work for a water / sewer project in Wise, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of June 5, 2024, project was awarded to S & S Contractors Inc., with an awarded amount of $112,922.12. The work to be performed under the terms of this Specification consists of the removal of a hazardous water body, the permanent closure of multiple, inundated mine portals according to these plans and specifications, and the revegetation of all disturbed areas on the site known as HYLTON PORTALS Project for the Commonwealth of Virginia. It shall also include modifications to the drainage pattern to ensure adequate positive drainage in conjunction with existing drainage structures and downstream areas. The job site is located off SR 753 (Wheatley Rd.) along a private driveway, called Cedar Croft Drive, near the northeastern section of WISE, Virginia.
