DWSD's water network consists of more than 2,700 miles of transmission and distribution mains and nearly 3,000 miles of sewer collection piping. The Minock Park Greening Project includes removal and replacement of residential road pavement, road trench drain construction, bioretention basin installation, water main installation and more. The project duration is expected to be 210 calendar days. The total not to exceed value of the project is $650,000. Question Deadline 05/01/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online No, Contractor questions must be submitted via website, or emailed to dwsdcontracts@detroitmi.gov Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % The Project includes the following Work (all quantities approximate): - 2,130 square yards of full depth concrete road removal, 591 square yards of residential HMA road removal, 769 square yards of sidewalk and approach removal, 0.46 acres of clearing, 3 catch basins to be removed, 25 lineal feet of 12-inch storm sewer pipe to be removed, and 3 bulkheads installed; - 970 square yards of full depth concrete road replacement, 573 square yards of residential HMA road replacement, 197 square yards of sidewalk and approach replacement, and 516 lineal feet of concrete curb installation; - One bioretention basin 4 feet deep with 328 cubic yards of bioretention soil installed, 3,289 square feet of bioretention plantings, and 32,614 square feet of lawn restoration; - Restoration of Blackstone Street closure for 493 cubic yards of soil import and 25,414 square feet of restoration including the planting of 233 trees. - 53 lineal feet of road trench drain construction, 1 manhole, 1 end section with rip-rap and bar screens, 1 overflow structure, 33 lineal feet of 8-inch PVC storm sewer, 92 lineal feet of 12-inch RCP storm sewer, 101 lineal feet of 6-inch PVC underdrain, 2 underdrain cleanouts, and 1 manhole to be built on existing rear yard combined sewer. - 310 lineal of feet 8-inch ductile iron water main installed with open cut methods, 541 lineal feet of 8-inch HDPE water main installed by horizontal directional drill, 6 feet of 6-inch ductile iron water main installed by open cut, 1 new fire hydrant installation, 1 connection to an existing gate valve, 2 new residential service connections, 2 new gate valve and wells, 2 connections to an existing water main with 8-inch tees, and 1 connection to an existing water main with 8-inch 45-degree bend.
