Renovation of a museum in Athens, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a museum.
The Classic Center Authority (CCA), an Authority of the State of Georgia, in cooperation with Athens-Clarke County, and on behalf of the Athens-Clarke County Center for Racial Justice is soliciting statements of qualifications from firms specializing in museum exhibition design and exhibition creation services to design and create space, exhibits, and displays in downtown Athens, Georgia. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeks to identify potential providers of the above-mentioned services. Some firms that respond to this RFQ and are determined to be responsible and responsive, may be deemed especially qualified through an evaluation process described herein to perform services. All respondents to this RFQ are subject to instructions communicated in this document and are cautioned to completely review the entire RFQ and follow instructions carefully. CCA retains the right to reject any or all statements of qualifications or subsequent submittals and/or proposals, and to waive technicalities, irregularities, and informalities, and retains the right to cancel the procurement at any time. As of July 21, 2025, the project is currently under evaluation stage. An issuance of short-listed firms has not been released. Further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been disclosed.
