Lee County Government Parks and Recreation is seeking bids for construction of an asphalt parking lot at the OT Sloan Tennis Center, 1550 Bragg Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Sealed bids can either be mailed in or turned in. Please include (2) copies of the bid and place them in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to the Lee County Finance Office, Attention: Purchasing Agent, 115 Chatham Street, Suite 301, Sanford, N.C. 27330. Plainly identify the envelope with (1) The project name/description, (2) The name and address of bidder and (3) License numbers. Purchase, haul & place approximately 300 tons of ABC stone at 2" in depth & compact to create acceptable sub-base. Purchase, haul & place approximately 430 tons of 9.5B hot mix asphalt, or equal, to an area consisting of approximately 35,000 square feet & roll to completion. Stripe all parking spaces & handicap areas per code (two coats). Layout of parking spaces to be determined. At entrance to parking lot, excavate ditch to create positive water flow to existing catch basin. Install approximately 50 concrete car stops. Bids shall include all cost associated with labor, materials, fees and permits.
