Sealed proposals will be accepted at the Authority prior to the bid opening, but no proposal may be withdrawn after scheduled closing time for the period of at least 60 days. The work to be accomplished consists of furnishing all materials (except as noted below), equipment, personnel, plus performing all the necessary labor to construct the following: PROJECT #1 DAVIS TOWN ROAD +/- 13,274 LINEAR FEET 6"- DUCTILE IRON PIPE, VALVES, AND HYDRANTS PROJECT #2 HILLS CREEK ROAD +/- 10,357 LINEAR FEET 6"- DUCTILE IRON PIPE, VALVES, AND HYDRANTS PROJECT #3 TAYLORSVILLE ROAD +/-5,563 LINEAR FEET OF 6"- DUCTILE IRON PIPE, VALVES, AND HYDRANTS Document Notes : Bid shall be submitted on Bid Proposal Forms furnished for that purpose, in accordance with the Contract Documents and the Plans and Specifications which are on file and may be reviewed at the Polk County Water, Sewage, and Solid Waste Authority Office, 1381 Rockmart Highway, Cedartown GA 30125,(770) 748-6001, or in the office of R. J. Wood and Company, (478) 741-7044, rjwood@rjwoodco.com. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Authority prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to Authority, for 5 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard formalities or irregularities in the proposals, whichever is in the best interest of the Authority.
