The Town of Bethlehem will be accepting from qualified Companies or individuals to conduct installation of dry hydrant and clearing of vegetation around the Town's Fire Pond located at Auncient Oak Road, Bethlehem, CT 06751. Pond/Water Source : The proposal shall include the following; 1. Removal and clear vegetation adjacent to the pond to approximately 25 ft or as directed by BVFD. 2. Dewater pond when feasible with assistance from BVFD if needed. 3. Dredge and remove sediment from the pond to a depth of at least 15 ft or depth agreed to by BVFD. 4. Typically material removed from pond shall remain on-site to be spread and seeded with an athletic blend seed at completion. 5. Erosion control installed and maintained as required until disturbed area is permanently stabilized. Dry Hydrant : 1. Remove old and install new dry hydrant as directed by BVFD with material to be supplied by BVFD. 2. Successful test by BVFD once hydrant is installed. Owner Rights: The Town reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any part of, or the entire proposal, when said action is deemed to be in the best interests of the Town. . The Town of Bethlehem reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with the selected respondents, the right to extend the contract for an additional period or to cancel in part or in its entirety the RFP, if it is in the best interests of the Town to do so.
