The proposed project is 51st Street in the Village of Berwyn, between 50th Avenue and 52nd Avenue. The following is the general scope of Work on 51st Street for this project: Sawcutting and removal of asphalt (ACP) to remove existing concrete curbs and extend existing sidewalks to a width of 3.5 metres Extension of sidewalks on both sides of 51st Street to 3.5 metre width Installation of new concrete curb and gutter Removal of existing ACP and replacement with 80mm minimum new ACP For the ACP component of the Work, two alternate options shall be presented in the Proposal, including: ACP Alternative 1: Removal of existing ACP and aggregate base course Subgrade preparation Installation of new aggregate base course and ACP ACP Alternative 2: Milling 50mm from existing ACP Removal of excess aggregate base course aggregate from septic system repair areas Compaction of exposed re-graded aggregate base course Installation of a new ACP overlay
